Hello, I’m Mel, a professional makeup artist based in Madison, WI. My journey into the beauty industry began early, shaped by my mother’s creativity and passion for cosmetology. As a child in the late '80s, I eagerly became her canvas, rocking sky-high perms and teased-out hairstyles while watching her master the art of transformation. Those moments sparked a lifelong fascination with beauty and its power to inspire confidence.
When my mother achieved her dream of owning her own salon, I witnessed firsthand the dedication, artistry, and entrepreneurial spirit it takes to succeed in this industry. Her journey planted the seeds for my own path as a makeup artist and fueled my desire to create meaningful connections through my craft.
Today, I bring years of experience and a deep love for artistry to every project. Whether enhancing a client’s natural beauty for a milestone event or collaborating with creative teams to execute bold concepts for productions; my work is rooted in understanding individual needs and adapting my craft to align with diverse styles, personalities, and creative goals.
